PARKING AT THE RICHMOND FIELD STATION

There is ample parking at the course site. However, you must purchase a parking permit at the pay station outside the Security Office located at the entrance gate when you arrive. The current price is 50 cents per day. Please bring change as we do not have cash or coins. We are not responsible for costs incurred by students who do not obtain a parking permit.

BART (PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION) DIRECTIONS

To travel by BART to your asbestos or lead class:

  • Take BART to the Downtown Berkeley stop. BART schedules can be found at www.bart.gov

  • Take the main exit out of the station. You will be on the corner of Shattuck Avenue and Center Street. Cross Center Street and you will see a sign for the UC Berkeley RFS Shuttle Stop beside the Wells Fargo ATM machines.

  • The RFS Shuttle schedule can be found at:
    pt.berkeley.edu/transportation_alternatives/beartransit/RFS-Line/

  • Shuttle fare is currently $1.50 (subject to change).

  • You will be able to take the RFS Shuttle back to the BART Downtown Berkeley station for your return trip.

*Please keep in mind when scheduling your BART trip that you must arrive at the Downtown Berkeley stop with enough time to walk a short distance to the RFS shuttle stop by 7:42 am. This is the only way to guarantee that you will make it to class on time. The next RFS Shuttle does not leave until 9:17 am! However, with a little advance planning this works - we have several students who routinely travel to our classes this way.
